The cover is both water resistant and vapour permeable, which allows moisture vapour to escape while preventing fluid ingress, helping to maintain a healthy skin microclimate. The cover is also antimicrobial and machine washable. The entire system is manufactured to the highest standards, meeting the BS7177: Crib 5 fire standard.

Practicality & Easy Maintenance

The Alerta Sensaflex 250 is designed for easy and efficient maintenance. The cover can be machine washed at 65°C for no less than 10 minutes or 95°C for no less than 3 minutes. It is also safe to tumble dry on low heat, not exceeding 60°C. For deep sterilisation, the foam itself can be autoclaved at 134°C, ensuring optimal hygiene in clinical settings.
