The Alerta Sensaflex 200 is an effective and comfortable pressure relieving foam cushion designed to provide essential care and pressure redistribution for users at medium risk of developing pressure ulcers. Ideal for use in hospital, nursing, and home care environments, this cushion is built with a unique castellated foam design that offers superior comfort and support for those seated for long periods.

Advanced Design for Pressure Redistribution

At the core of the Alerta Sensaflex 200 is its castellated foam structure. This innovative design consists of a grid of individual foam sections that move independently to conform to the user’s body shape. This helps to redistribute pressure more effectively while reducing shear and friction forces, both of which are major contributing factors to pressure ulcer formation. The cushion is suitable for a wide range of users, with a Min Load of 40kg and a Max Load of 150kg.

Engineered for Superior Hygiene & Safety

The cushion comes with a premium multi-stretch PU cover that is both vapour permeable and water resistant. The vapour permeable property helps to manage the skin's microclimate by allowing moisture vapour to escape, keeping the skin cool and dry. For enhanced infection control, the cover is also antimicrobial and machine washable. The entire system is manufactured to comply with the most stringent guidelines, meeting the BS7177: Crib 5 fire standard for safety.

Practicality & Easy Maintenance

Maintaining the Alerta Sensaflex 200 is simple and straightforward. The cover can be machine washed at 65°C for no less than 10 minutes or 95°C for no less than 3 minutes. It can also be tumble dried on low heat, but the temperature must not exceed 60°C. For deep sterilisation, the foam itself can be autoclaved at 134°C, ensuring a high level of hygiene in clinical settings.
